  2.                         CUSTOMER REFERENCE FORMS

  7. Attached are two Customer Reference Detail forms:  a short form and
  8. a long version.  They are designed to gather data on HP reference
  9. accounts--both installed and recently won deals.  Either form can be
  10. completed within HPDesk and sent back.  Or it can be printed off and
  11. marked up by hand and FAXed or mailed to us.  Typically the account
  12. manager or someone interviewing the account manager fills out the form.
  13. Once received by the Americas Marketing Center, the Reference Selling
  14. Team will enter the data into the Reference Account database.
  15.  
  16. Depending on the referenceability rating given that account, information
  17. on that account is given out only when it meets certain search criteria.
  18. Note that "win" data is not typically given out since they are not fully
  19. implemented.

  21. This information is for internal use only.  No direct customer contact
  22. takes place without specific clearance from the account manager.

  24. If, for any reason, the account manager determines that a particular
  25. account should not be listed as a reference, either temporarily or
  26. permanently, call our Reference Account Database Manager - Larry Turner
  27. - at 408 447-1279 and that account will be removed from any future
  28. access within 24 hours of your call.

  30. If an HP field person (within the Americas) needs references, please
  31. contact your sales development engineer or the Sales Response Center at
  32. 408 447-4444.  HP people from outside the Americas can obtain references
  33. by contacting Larry Turner.  Non HP persons--such as VABs--will have to
  34. go through their HP representative to obtain the references they need.

  36. You may complete either the short form or, for more completeness, the
